Why would you wet sand and polish un-sprayed tails?

you dont polish them until the very end. You wet sand them at the beginning so that the paint sticks to the surface.

1) Wetsand with 800 grit
2) Spray with tint
3) Wetsand with 1500 grit
4) Spray with clearcoat
5) Wetsand with 2000 grit
6) Polish

^ thats how i did mine, except many many more steps of paint. Before polish i even used compound on them to get them smoother.
