Default Two hooks below the front bumper

There are two hooks or eyelets at the bottom of the front bumper (one on the right, one on the left side).

So my questions are...

1) what are they for?
2) where are they attached to?
3) What is the part number?

Thanks,

1) Towing
2) Frame
3) Search

Those were the hooks that also held my car down when it was on the dyno.

I searched for it but I couldn't find it anywhere. I tried Carson Toyota and TRDSparks.

I guess my only other option would be to call Toyota directly.

Reason I'm concerned is my left one is pretty beat up. It looks like it's been scraped and such. The bottom portion of the tow hook is rusting a little.

it should be fine.. in a way that is used to protect your s pipe from hitting and scraping when you go fast up a driveway or something. I'm not sure if its replaceable.. if i remember it is welded onto the frame of the car

Yeah I think I'm going to get some metal neutralizer and just coat the rust to keep it from getting worse. I tried taking some pliers to get rid of the small bend in the edge of it but it's pretty thick, the tow hook itself is fine, just one edge is scuffed a dented a little.

I just wanted to make sure that the rust won't spread and what not. So I think the rust/metal neutralizer should take care of it.

Thought I'd post an update.

The tow hooks are welded to the radiator core support. See the ebay link below for what it looks like.

This bolts into the frame of the car.

I just figured I'd share.

As for how I am going to deal with the rust....

http://rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=40

Rustoleum Rust Converter. I'm going to make sure that the little bit of rust doesn't spread and then plasti-dip it. That way make sure that the salt and such doesn't eat it.

Don't use plasti dip on that. Hit them with some cheap spray paint and you'll be better off.
