V-Style spoiler in Carbon Fiber (not oem lip spoiler!)
Racing Solution is producing the V-style TR who? style spoiler in carbon fiber. I figured I'd post this up since it was just buried in the exclusive sales section. I have already ordered this spoiler and will post up pics when I get it. What do you guys think?
Description: This RS1 carbon fiber trunk spoiler sits flush with your trunk and gives your Scion tC a sporty look. The spoiler is made of fiberglass material wrapped in Grade A carbon fiber material. The RS1 spoiler installs using double sided tape. The double sided tape is included. We recommend a body shop perform all installations. In stock. Ships in 2-3 business days Store Link: http://www.racingsolution.com/products/Scion/TC/1427/SciontCRS1Spoiler(CarbonFiber) |
I like the look a lot and am considering it but it's a bit pricey.

lemme see this bad boy in CF, and ill scrap the kaminari wing idea for this! |
I love the v-style spoiler.
love to see it in CF! |
Let's see some pics of that bad boy!
|
I like it, but I also like my OEM lip spoiler. I see it uses double sided tape. That means I'd have to get the holes filled from where the OEM was. :(
|
PICS!!!!! But this looks pretty good.

u could always use silicone on the underside of the wing to waterproof it :) its a more affordable solution to water
|
Dave, does that really work?
I'm planning to get rid of my pedestal spoiler and I don't want to take my car to a body shop to deal with the holes left by the dealer when they installed it. And you're talking about silicone from like, Home Depot right? I plan on getting a V-style spoiler too so it's going to cover the holes and the silicone I suppose. |
i dont see why not. silicone is used as a sealant. so if u use the double stick tape provided and then put a silicone seal on the underside (continuously) then i dont see any water gettin in.
|
Why didn't I think of that in the first place...
Well, looks like I'll be selling my spoiler. I'll let you guys know how that silicone/tape holds up. |
sounds good, good luck :)
|
wasnt that put out by viniati?
|
um i belive the regular version is. or this might be a slightly different version.... either way neither ORIGIONALLY created this design (IIRC TRF did)
|
This bundled with the RS1 front lip in fiberglass would be sweet :D
|
What a rip off. Go to Viniati website and you'll find an exact same spoiler for much cheaper, unless the link sells painted spoiler.

from racingsolution: The spoiler is made of fiberglass material wrapped in Grade A carbon fiber material. so the more expensive one is not entirely made of carbon fibre, just wrapped in it.... :ponder: |
No carbon fiber product out for the Scion's is made of 100% carbon fiber... it would be way too expensive..
