Default 2006 Scion tC won’t start! Please help

This morning I tried to start the car and it wouldn’t start, after 4 attempts it finally started running. I went to a gas station not to long after and the same problem occurred. After I got it started I went home (it was too early to go to Autozone).
Once Autozone was opened I left out to get the car tested, only this time it wouldn’t start at all! My oil, battery and engine lights came on, I tried giving it a jump but that didn’t work, I also tried tapping on the starter, no luck there either.

Can someone please help me out! This is my only car and my family and I depend on it..

Other important factors:
the key is broke (I drove it in this condition for awhile though)

Can you hear the fuel pump working?
Take had cap off and put ear close and have somebody turn key
to start position, should hear pump energize.

Pump located under back seat.

I followed your instructions, I believe I heard it energize but Im not 100% sure. It’s still not starting, the oil, battery and check engine light stays on.

Gotta make sure it's getting fuel and spark. Pull up the back seat and remove the inspection cover so you can hear the pump. As far as spark remove a coil pack and install an old spark plug to see if it's getting spark..

Guess you gotta get that taken care of first.. Just to rule this out, check the 15 amp ignition fuse..mine blew a while back and wouldn't start.

Sounds like your starter has a bad spot if you are trying to jump it and whacking it to try to start.

If your engine is cranking and won't start it could be fuel (bad fuel pump), spark (Bad plugs/coils), Cam signal (Bad cam sensor), Chip key/security not allowing spark.

Like the person above, I can relate, I had a mischievous camshaft position sensor that didn't let me start (in my case due to aftermarkets cams but still).

Also any engine codes and/or light?

Default What if it’s not getting enough spark I’m having the same problem

I'm having the same problem it will crank and wants to start but won’t I’ve checked everything I changed my plugs and all my fuel pump is good and battery, starter, and alternator but my car seems to not be getting enough spark to turn over.
