2010 tC Manual Transmission issue..
Hi Everyone,
Have a pretty concerning issue with my trans that I wanted to bring up in here. Just full disclosure as this may or may not be relevant, I am using a Megan short shifter, I just had the clutch replaced approx 6 months ago, and i just had synthetic trans fluid changed about 2 weeks ago.
Anyway, I have found that over the past few months as i drive, my gears are kind of a bit sticky and i really have to force the car in to gear, even when i'm fully depressing the clutch. this is especially bad with 3rd gear as this gear always seems to have a slight grind as I put it into place. This even happens when the car is stationary with the E-brake up and i'm holding the clutch down fully. This does not happen with any other gear although I do sometimes find it difficult to get it into gear, even when the car is to full operating temp. I want to bring it back to the shop but also don't want to dump money into a 150,000 mile car just to not address the issue. Could this be caused by a mis-installation of the Short shifter or is it a issue with the trans or the clutch. I am hoping its a short shifter install or a clutch pedal adjustment but am also ready for the worse if the car needs the repair. I know there are some solid car minds here so I am all eyes/ears for any advice you all can offer.
