battery terminals are extremely dirty, lots of wierd looking white stuff on there

battery terminals are extremely dirty, lots of wierd looking white stuff on there
should i have the auto dealer clean it or is this something i can do easily? i dont want the car to stall on me or not start.

Clean it yourself. Buy a cheap battery terminal cleaner from an auto parts store. You can also gently pour on a solution of baking soda and water to neutralize any acids/corrosion that may be present before you clean.
