Default Borla Cat-back clear up

I've seen alot of threads on the board about a possible borla cat-back system available from the dealership. Alot of others said that the TRD was just made by borla and it was in fact axle-back. Well since I'm looking for a tC I went to my dealership knowing I wouldn't get the axle-back as the HP benefits were low. The dealership in Stuart, Fl had a borla cat-back and not a trd axle-back on their accessory sheet. I asked the sales assosciate if it was really cat-back or this was a mistake and he said it was the first time he'd heard the question. After leaving to talk to a few other co-workers he came back saying it was in fact cat-back. I emailed Scion later that day to confirm this as I would be all over a Borla cat-back and they said that Southeast Toyota is a separately run division of Toyota and they have their own parts and that it is in fact different from the standard TRD exhaust. So for all those out there who think the Borla is just the TRD made exhaust it in fact is not. In the Southeast region their is a different exhaust option for the tC.
(This is what I've gathered from my detective work if Scion Corp and the dealership were telling fibs I do not know)

So sense Miami is so close to Stuart then dealers would be part of the southeast toyota section and have the borla cat-back right? I hope so, then I can get a cat-back that's covered. ^_^

They are all part of SE toyota. Im pretty sure its run and operated by Jim Moran The headquarters is off Hillsboro BLVD which is even closer to Miami then Stuart. SE toyota also is the creator of the Special Edition tC.... AKA the Tc with badly embroidered letters and lots of useless options.

It is not a cat-back. I looked it up on Borla as did Courtesy Toyota. It was on our accessory sheet also. I asked the same thing.
Its just a regular axle-back like most/all the tC exhaust.

It looks almost identical to the TRD exhaust, its probably more quiet. Yes it will be offered through Toyota though. They told us we needed to wait for about 2 months. They called almost all the Toyota dealers in FL and no one had one. I bet we would have been the first if we waited. We just had the TRD installed since it was in stock.

So what are the manufactures of catbacks for Scion's? tc, xa,. xb. I only know of Magnaflow making exhausts for the xa and xb.

Unless you are just looking for sound put your $ into somthing else. Testing the
Tc with the exaust removed from the cat back only showes a 1.2-2 hp gain. You can't get any better unless you go for and new header, high flow cat, and tubes.
