Anyways, you're lucky you weren't in Florida... you'll get arrested for street racing, and I'd pull over just to applaud the officer putting cuffs on you.

Just last night on my way home from work some fool tried to race me, my street racing days ended long ago...
Your lucky you didn't get arrested or worse off end up dead wrapped around a tree (happens in Orange County all the time) all you got was a fixit ticket, pay the fine and count your blessings. Chalk it up to a learning experience.

John
first...in California you can have exhaust as long as it is no louder than 95 decibals and as long as it does not delete any catalytic converters.
Second...the "crusher" can only be used if you are caught in the act of racing illegaly or after your second offense of being at an illegal race. I am glad we have the "crusher" because maybe people will learn to keep it on the track where it is a lot less likely to kill a few innocent bystanders than on the street. Street racing is for idiots and you deserve to have what the law determines as your punishment!

the crusher is the same crusher that is used in demolition yards or junkyards to crush the old crapped cars...like in Gone in 60 Seconds when Kip is still in the car being crushed by one in the beginning...thats the crusher
Also cops stay up on all the new aftermarket stuff by reading all the tuning magazines they can. I heard that in San Diego specifically they set up checkpoints to make sure theres nothing illegal on there. I mean someone i know got pulled over for tinting there windows too much. Its really ridiculous. One of the reasons why im scared of doing anything engine wise to my car.

^^^ That's because we have an overwhelming democratic majority. . .
If you hate CA law, you have nobody to kick except yourself.
But seriously, all politicians are alike, dem or rep. . . it's just a sales pitch to win your vote (which equals cash in their pocket). Picking "teams" is really rediculous and plays into their game, rather than focusing on issues. And I've worked with both political parties so. . . yeah. . . not all that different.
^My political rant for the day
