Default CAI doesnt whistle!

so i installed a CAI on my 09 TC and unlike my buddys tc, mine does not whistle?! any idea why?

07-09's dont whistle.
get a throttle body spacer.

Depends on the filter and the sound doesn't really matter it still just an intake no real gains

on the filter huh? ya ik im not lookin for more hp..its purely cosmetic and sound...what filter should i use or do you recommend?

a filter wont exactly change the sound.
get a throttle body spacer and get it over with.

yea I just put my injen CAI on my 09 tc and it really whistles through the gears sounds really nice imo.

no i meant to say ____..im on my iphone and it has auto correct crap...anyways..no i want it to hiss/whistle and it doesnt but yes above 4k it is rediculous loud...i just didnt know if theres anyway to make it whistle....because i dont understand why the pre 07's do and the 07 and ups dont?

mine whistles when you back off of the throttle or half throttle at higher speeds, it drives me crazy i have to turn the stereo up all the time

just FYI.... the TB spacer on a tC = a waste of money...

The slight "whistle" that you are referring to is due to the larger, free flowing intake and the angles of the piping as well. The cone air filter may have a little affect on the overall sound.... but that is the main reason for the sound.... and actually Injen designed it that way.

oh icic...ya idk i took everything off because its goin in to get painted monday..door chip...then ill put it back on afterwards im going to try and get a few t clamps, and maybe better couplers

no... that's not it... you want them snug...but not so tight it pinches/distorts the material. If they are to loose... you could be risking contaminates getting passed the the TB, intake mani.... which could do some damage... at the very least it could vibrate its way loose off of the TB...which would shut your engine down automatically and immediately.
