Default Changing differential fluid

I have a 2005 TC with a supercharger and about 52xxx on the odo, right now it's at the dealer for a new SC and they said I should have them flush the transmission and differential for about 340 combined. Now I know the transmission is fairly simple but my question is what about the differential I was unable to find any DIY on it, would it even need changing this early or are they trying to milk money from me?

TIA

hmmm when my differential exploded last year, it blew a hole straight through the bell hosing of the tranny. So i am assuming that the differential is in the same casing considering i only had tranny fluid on the ground... I could be wrong though.

yes they are MILKING money out of you. the differential in a fwd transmission is integrated into the transmission housing. IT USES THE SAME TRANS FLUID, no other fluid is needed.

If it were a 4WD vehicle, yeah the differential might be different but not on a FWD (front wheel drive) car like the tC

Laugh at them and take your car elsewhere. They're lying and to change the trans fluid? is like at the most $80, not 340.

^^ and flushing it yourself is easy, just drain what you can, fill it up. If it's an auto, drive around, then drain again and fill up. That way most of the fluid has been cleaned out without using a flushing machine. Yeah poor man's way to do it.

If it's manual, simple, just drain and refill, and you're done.
