Cleaning the throttle body
I am looking at cleaning the throttle body on my new scion, dealing with a low idle - 500rpm, occasionally rough and hard to start.
Seeing as this is a servo-driven throttle body, is it safe to turn the throttle plate by hand to clean around the bore of the throttle body? (With the engine off/key off of course)
I'm also seeing a LTFT of +7 at idle, that goes to 0 when RPM's are raised to 1500 or so, indicating some sort of vacuum leak. I already cleaned the MAF, didn't help. Any common vacuum leaks to look for? I'm going to try following all the vacuum lines tomorrow to look for obvious dry rotting.
