Default Timing chain stuck?

Ok this is my first time changing the timing cover on the Scion tC engine. And someone said I had to rotate the timing chain before replacing the cover.
When I did that the timing chain jumped, and I was like I don’t know if that’s supposed to be happening and I crank it two more times and now it’s stuck and I don’t want to do anything now.

What’s wrong with it? It’s loose on one side and tight on the other side. Did it jump teeth or something? How do I fix this. It was rotating fine before this.

When you say the timing chain jumped when you cranked the engine, do you mean the chain jumped teeth? You could try cranking it counter-clockwise (Very Carefully) and see if it frees it.

Normally rotating a few times manually is recommended to check timing stays lined up. Not super familiar with this one however.
