Default Damaged driver side axle seal!!!

What can i do about that seal? I damaged the seal while removing my driver side axle. I went to Oreilly and asked for the seal but i think they gave me the wrong one. The seal is the same size as the inner diameter of the seal that is on the tranny.

yeah i have the same problem. I bent up the metal edge part that goes inside the trans. it leaks trans fluid a little even after bending it all back. i talked to trd sparks and they just sent me a little rubber seal that doesn't fit anything. so i'm still stuck on my leaky axle

When you go to install the axle, there's a split ring on the inboard end of the shaft. Put the split at the 6 o'clock position. Just before you insert the shaft into the transmission, lift the outboard end of the axle shaft about 15 degrees. Then simultaneously, slip the inboard end of the shaft into the hole while lowering the outboard end back to horizontal. Lowering of the outboard end of the axle will close the split ring and the shaft should easily slip into the hole. Once inserted, the spit ring expands and acts like a keeper (or lock ring for lack of a better word.)

Failing to take advantage of the ring split at 6 o'clock makes inserting the shaft a whole lot harder. Some end up hitting the outboard end with a hammer and this can mess things up.
