Default Engine Performance\Build Part Summary

I was doing a bunch of thread surfing and ran into an issue where there wasn't a thread that had a ton of engine part details. There was not a breakdown of pistons, rods, bearings, valves, and/or springs. There are a bunch of guys that have built engines but haven't posted the good/bad things they found when doing their research.

One of the main things most people wonder is what is the minimum amount of work that needs to be done before safely increasing the redline. Then, with that work, how much can it be raised?

Good sleeving companies? What type of sleeve job should be done (if someone desires to sleeve)? Who does a good job for a good cost?

Pistons and rods - how much horsepower are the few flavors of pistons/rods holding? I believe there are a few grades (some which are around 400whp and some which are around 600).

Any specific info on the above would be great. There are a lot of guys here that know a ton about engines. Thanks,
