Exhaust got quieter?
Hey guys, this is for a friend. He has an HKS axleback, custom midpipe, CC s-pipe, stock header. No resonator, No cat.
Anyway, he recently noticed that his exhaust isn't as loud as before. he's been having this setup for about 3 months now, and it doesn't deliver the deep tone it gave out before. Could this just be a matter of adapting to the sound, or is there a problem with the engine messing with the exhaust? I'm a witness and I believe it got a little quieter as well. Any suggestions? |
Sound is going to change as the exhaust system gets broken in. Did he install all of those components at the same time?

I thought I was the only one from Ft Huachuca on here!

actually, I helped him install the s-pipe and axleback the same day 3 months ago.. he got the midpipe a few weeks later. so i think it's been plenty of time for it to get broken in. but isn't it supposed to get louder if it gets broken in?

Usually it gets louder from what ive experienced, but like someone else said you may just be getting use to the sound.
|
yeah.. could just be getting used to the sound.
