Default how to get rid of raspy sound

current set-up: agency power exhuast , weapon-r header with s-pipe.

sounded great but now that the header is installed its to raspy. the exhuast already has a resontor. anyone think adding a second will eliminate it? i need helpful suggestions please.

im already considering gettting rid of the header but if i can eliminate the rasp ill keep it

Bigger or second resonator. Only things you can really do, short of trying a different exhaust.

I have heard post after post of it being good, but it really did not do much at all, it took it down by half, but still had rasp. I had a friend put on two moroso spiral tech resonators and at high rpm still had some rasp, but his exhaust was defiantly quieter. I am thinking of making the mid pipe one big gigantic resonator.

i dunno, the 2-3 HP from a header and the 1-2 hp from an exhaust of that price? lets assume he gains 4 HP from that setup...with a resonator he will lose 5? -1 horsepower gain woot! just joking.
but its pretty wasteful to spend so much to begin with only to realize "maybe the header isnt the right thing for me" hehe...

Hey 1 HP is 1 HP, I can just get some more by adding some stickers to my ride then it will equal the price that was paid for the exhaust system...
I figure different strokes for for different folks, I totally understand what you are saying though.

The resonator onthe Agency is junk just like it is on all the other brands like Apexi, and Megan, once you add header it cannot keep up as it is not designed to work with that setup, cut out the resonator that came on the AP mid and have a pair of 12" or a 30" welded on and it iwll clean itup a lot.

I have currantly the MMW,with cat and 2 12"resonators and the HKS can and no rasp till aver 5200rpm,I can live with that......AP can is close to same working innards as the HKS or GReddy and will tone down a lot using new resonators.

wtf are you guys talking about lol. A header and full exhaust is WAY more than 1 hp lol. Best way to get rid of rasp.....lol a turbo. But seriously sell the catback and make a custom exhaust with 2 resonators and muffler of choice....best way to go IMO

rasp is controlled by flow, more flow more rasp, now to controll the rasp you have to slow the sound waves, thus resonators,if you look in side of a good resonator it has teeth, the teeth are facing one direction, this makes the soundwaves pass and bounce in to each other canceling each other out......no the resonator can be put in backwards as well and it will cancell differant sound waves and make differant sounds.

We played with my setup a bit and 2 12"resonators put in with teeth facing into the flow grabbed the most rasp, but it is diffreant each setup, there are glasspacks that people use,and are effective till they glass wears out, there are cannister resonators liek the Aero 25 that do a bit of both......

yea headers = rasp

so the purpose of headers is that u gain more flow, horse power and rasp..

but if u get a resonator but in u lose the rasp and horsepower????? rite or no
