How long do you think the Clutch will last?
 

I'm wondering how long everyone thinks the stock clutch will last, on average, so the usual tC driver. someone who shifts at 3000, slips the clutch in 1st at around 1400 rpm and drops the clutch the launch the car every once in while, maybe once a week at the max.

I wonder how long the CV joints will last too, if you drive like this.

there are so many variables in your question that I dont know where to being...i guess for starters u have the 5yr powertrain warranty so at least 5 years...besides it's a toyota enjoy your car. a new clutch wont set u back too far either, everything eventually wears down

I believe that clutches are considered wear items by most car manufacturers. I don't own a scion yet, but that's the way it's always been with all of my other cars.

From my past experience, toyota clutches seem to be more resilient than most other manufacturers. Clutches aren't that expensive, and when your OEM wears out you can get a performance one for about $375....

It's getting very common for clutches if not abused (no daily racing, no burnouts everyweek) will last up to 40-60,000 miles! My mom's 2000 Camry v6 5spd only has 38,000 miles on and the clutch is still going strong.

i had the clutch in my f150 pickup last 160,000 miles. but thats also a truck

if you drive well, you should not need to replace it for a really long time. thank you toyota. I am probibly going to need to replace mine due to desire. I would like something a little firmer.

40-60k miles GOOD? What crap you smoking, hah. My friend has a freakin Hyundai Crapfest with 120k miles and original clutch. Our clutches should last far past 100k miles, depending on how much city driving.

I have 142,000+ miles on the original clutch in my Toyota Corolla...they're built to last...

when i sold my '94 probe it had 105,000 mi on it w/ the original clutch... now mind u i do believe it was on verge of going ..not too far down the road.... but yeah like everyone else said... def over 100,000 if you treat it right

The more power, the more wear on the clutch. I'm sure the Hyundai ______ has a lot less power than the Camry lol

I've owned several toyotas (mostly celicas), all of my cluthes have lasted 100K miles. Even if you abuse it, it should last you 60,000 miles, unless you abuse it real bad. And when I got my clutch replaced it cost about 500, much cheaper than when the automatic transmission blows, which costs at least twice as much.

Why did I heard horrible story here about people changing the clutch after only 8-10k!! I was so scared about these story!! My MR2 clutch olso last ore then 100k and it was abused!!!

I keep the faith! I know toyota have good products so the clutch should last long!! these story must been from new driver!!

I’m at 220,000 on my 2006 xB with the original clutch. It is just starting to slip.
