Not true at all. Unichip has worked great for me. Greddy Ultimate is nice, but isnt necessary if you are staying N/A. Ive got an Injen CAI, DC headers, nVidia s-pipe, custom exhaust, and when I put the Unichip on, I got a nice little boost in both low end and mid-range power. The biggest difference that I noticed, however, is the gas mileage. I drive 50 miles to work everyday and 50 miles back to get home (highway driving.) Before I was getting about 385 miles on a full tank, now that I have the unichip I usually get around 450 miles to a tank, so it's made me a believer. To get the most out of it in tandem with your other bolt-ons though you want to have it tuned.

No, not quite that simple. Everyone's set up is a little bit different so you have to take your car to an approved Unichip tuner and they will tune it at their shop. If you do a google search for certified Unichip tuners, you will find the one closest to you. Here is a little help, this is a relatively current map of certified tuners

^ u can send the unichip bak to the office for a retune. It cost arnd $25.. If u dont hv 300 laying arnd for a custom tune, sending it bak isnt a bad choice

Really? wow, my bad I didn't know they were offering that service. Seems kind of iffy though, because how can you get a good tune without knowing if the air/fuel is running lean/rich etc.. by having it on the car in real time? Also, altitude can make a difference as well, I live close to 7000 feet above sea level, which has way less O2 than at sea level.

If you are really ambitious, I also heard that Unichip is now selling their software for around $290 so you can tune it yourself. Hope this helps
