ok i was thinkin...and could Scion really put a 2.4, realisticly, into a sport coupe the size of a civic...and still make it cost under 20k? realisticly, that doesnt make sense to me...i think we'd be lucky if we get a 2.0......but thats only me...what do you guys/gals...think...

 

Imho, I think the 2.4 is gonna be in the tC. The R&D cost is almost nonexistant because of it's widespread use in the Camry. I think thats also why the xA & xB are so inexpensive (echo parts)

 

so you're sayin that Scion we be able to toss the 2.4 engine...and keep the price...say maybe under 22k? if soo...i'm down for one...how much power do you think it will be punchin? has anyone thought about the HP/torque power of the 2.4 on that little tC?

 

i remember seeing that the engine will have 150hp. i was looking back where i saw that, but i can't seem to locate it. i also don't recall the torque rating.

 

I think the base tc will be well under 22. Im hoping it will be around 22 with the s/c. The last word I heard from my rep was "starting @ 17,999." :D

 

soo we are lookin at about a 3k difference from the xA and xB...i likes...

 

Any confirmation regarding the horsepower figures on the supercharged TC? I've heard estimates of around 200-210hp coupled to a 6-speed manual.
