I have a question, my homeboi bought a used Injen CAI and it didn't include the vibra mounts holders or whatever they are called, I was wondering where can u buy them separately?Thanks!!

 

Have you asked Injen yet? I'd go straight to the manufacturer first.

 

Well he bought it from ebay!

 

Injen may still be the best source for the mounts if the seller won't supply them. I haven't seen any vibramounts floating around any retailers.

i also have a question do u need to unhook the negative connector from the battery to install the intake or does it even matter????

 

yep, gotta reset the ECU so it'll adjust to the intake. Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes (I'm not sure about the exact time it takes for a reset, but 5 minutes worked for me) and reconnect, then let the car run for a few minutes.

 

Wut happens if u install the intake w/o disconnecting the battery???? will the ecu think its still the stock intake.

 

I guess you'll have more air in your a/f ratio. can anyone confirm?

 

yeah cuz i installed my CAI w/o removing the negative cuz i thought everything might restart or even the airbags right??? or am i wrong.

 

it should be a learning ECM. it will take longer to adjust without disconnect, but it should still adjust after a while.

 

ICIC yeah cuz when i installed my intake i didnt disconnect the negative so i was wondering if that was ok.

 

man i tested out to see if my injen cai would fit on the 08 tc becuz my frend wanted to buy it but when we tried it on the sensors on the 08's are so much smaller. off topic but just wanted to bring that out just incase someone was curious.

 

Yeah the MAF is different that's why they have an Injen intake for the 05-06 and 07+.
