Just installed Megan header
Above here are all good suggestions...
Here's one in addition to these that I would personally recommend...
Before you start the car after the header install... Make sure that you clean it of any residue from fingerprints, etc. Because if you allow it to reach operating temp w/o doing that first, it can easily "burn" the natural oil residue from your skin into the finish of the pipes, resulting in undesired blemishes. These can be polished out with effort, but if you can avoid them in the first place that would be ideal.
Also, the Jet Hot coating OP ... I definitely second that option. They do very good quality work from what I've seen first hand.
** wanted to edit my post and add this important note (at least I think it is. lol)
When selecting a quality polish for your header, make sure it is one that is intended for use in high heat applications. If one is used that is NOT intended for high heat applications, you can unknowingly create a dangerous situation when that product heats up. From what I've seen, most automotive specific aluminium/ alloy polishes will handle it just fine... but it's always good to check before hand... ( CYA )
