Default Megan Header and K&N CAI Arrived - Which first

My daughter and I will have fun tonight - Both arrived today and ready to see how they perform.

I think install Header first to see if it throw CEL - then CAI install.

Pics will follow

Congrats! I just installed my S. WeaponR Intake. Car runs great. I also have the DC Headers, which threw a CEL, but I fixed that with a post someone did on this site.

I would do the K&N first to free up some space in the engine compartment for extra leverage room so you can take the stock manifold out fairly easily. BTW you'll love the K&N, it gets loud and mean as hell if you punch it over 3,000 rpms

Good luck and have fun!

I would reccomend doing the intake first. That way if its not installed right and it throws a cel its a quick easy fix making sure everythings tightened down. That way if the header is gonna throw one you know your intake is good to go.

I agree guys, we had to wait to do the installs tomorrow morning...so intake first. I went ahead and got the antifoulers figuring I would need them.

Yea, she actually enjoys it.

I'll have K&N with the megan header and a TRD exhaust....I hope it sounds OK. I heard others say it's not ricey with this same setup....I'll get a sound clip and post it

thanks all

The TRD exhaust does not sound ricey. If you put on a header that doesn't have a pre-cat, any tC will sound raspy.

The DC header has no precat, though the Megan header does. I'm interested as well in hearing a sound clip.
