I've had this exhaust for coming up on 2 1/2 years now, and I don't have the problems you're describing. The exhaust does shake and bounce around a bit, but I believe it's more due to me over-tightening bolts and using the non-standard spring-loaded bolts on parts of the exhaust upstream from the axleback.

It's more likely that your idle vibrations are from an engine issue, such as dirty fuel injectors. Next on the list would be the use of an S-pipe, which has been known to roughen idle (subjectively). Then I would look at the wearing motor mounts, bushings, etc.

well, ok... since this post is up in front these days, i can't help myself.

fyi.

i had a pm muff installed when i got my o7, back in o7. i also had the trd lowering springs and trd rear sway installed, at the same time.
all was fine, till i decided i wanted a lil more umpfh from the exhaust. so i went local - alameda - to a race shop that does some pretty hot work. they were pretty freaked when they saw the install/quality/etc.
in the end, they pulled the system, installed new hangers, redid all welds, and also took out one of the resonators - for my extra umpfh.

just so's u knows.

So its just 2 bolts and some hangers? Whats involved in getting the bolts off? Hand tools can do it?

vs. stock to illustrate it's "stock-ish" look.

Again, have had mine for well over 2 years, and still pleased. If they make something for my next car, I'm doing it, no questions asked.

It's a great axle back for a great car. Easy to install with a well toned note out the tip!!

Ha hah Is this the same Precission Muffler as the one on Minis Circle in Milpitas? If so this guy upgraded my piping to 2.25 on my '91 Civic Si back in like '99 or '00. His dad even replaced my tranny after a broken off tooth from gear decided to blast a fist sized hole in the tranny casing. Please let me know if I'm thinking of the right shop. If so I can vouch for this guy and company. Man I miss the Bay Area.
