Oil Catch Can

Oil Catch Can
2008 NA tC with 52,000 miles. Latest oil drain was one half quart shy. Assuming consumption, I changed the PCV valve, cleaned the intake side of the throttle body and switched oil from 5w20 conventional to 0w20 synthetic. I added a catch can to see if the PCV valve is allowing liquid oil to pass. Not much room under the hood so I went with a Mishimoto knockoff for $18. The hoses, clamps and fitting were less than $20. I made the bracket from garage scrap.
I'll post results before the next oil change.

Nice mounting job, keeps it tucked up out of the way. Yes, the PCV does let some oil through but not a 1/2 quart. I never got more than a 1/4 quart in mine. I ran dual Mishimotos, one on the PCV and one on the valve cover vent. PCV was the only one to get any oil, at least after I had the oil consumption repairs done.
