oil cooler is it worth it, safe, benificial?
so i know that the tc has no oil cooler on it. i usually run synthetic oil and want to run it through a cooler. are they safe, if so hows the best way to do one, remote or block sandwich plate. what is a good brand? i know b&m makes them and they have one with thermal switches to turn on a fan, would i benifit from having a fan even though id put the cooler in the front left of the bumper so it would get air from the left air duct? ive herd of like 10 degrees temp drops at the filter. i think that would help... thanks for the input

Running F/I, the oil cooler would help a bit... but on a N/A setup, it'd be a bit of overkill...
Running a fanned setup would help if you're in a lot of traffic or such, but placing it in an exposed location should be plenty fine...
I say don't spend too much on something you don't neccesarily need... save the cash for power!

The reality though, is that the engine cooling setup for a standard N/A is PLENTY sufficient to keep the engine cool, and therefore, allow the oil to dissapate heat well... it's when you're sending the oil through a 1000+ degree turbo that it gets hot and becomes more of a risk...
Given that all Turbo manufacturers don't come with an oil cooler, as they determined that, in most cases, the tC setup doesn't need one, I'd consider spending your money on something else...
Scion_Drafter06.... take that "Chip" off your car ASAP... it will only do more damage than good...

Probably not a good idea to cool oil down-stream of the turbo -you want ZERO resistance between the turbo outlet and the oil-pan.
More logical pickup position for hot oil would be with an oil-filter block-adaptor.
If you are worried about high oil temperatures hurting your ride -Change to sysnthetic oil like Mobil 1. Lot less chances of leaks and of overcooling your oil.
If you want to help cool the engine and engine oil get a 160F thermostat kit from TRD...
Quick note: The TRD tC supercharger kit includes a low-temp thermostat...

Well in a racing setup most race cars run an oil cooler but in practice (even in race conditions) they cover most of the oil coolers up especially if it is cold outside. The reason for this is theoretically your engine will produce more power at higher temps (at least until parts fail due to high temps). The reason for this is that the engine will not absorb as much heat energy from the combustion process if the engine is already at a higher temperature therefore allowing more energy to be used to produce power. Assuming a stock tC already has plenty low oil temps then I would doubt you would need an oil cooler unless you are running serious power and/or have lots of blow-by with you setup.
