IDK if this is the right area to post this but i know ill get some feedback so here it is....

I met a tC owner and he told me that he knew someone who swapped his tC throttle body with an RX8 throttle body with very minor to no conversions.

Read the thread by Jimmy about his N/A build. He goes into detail about what mod's had to be done and the dyno gains by changing to the RX-8 tb.

There isn't a lot to search on this topic what do you want him to search? Someone just needs to make a DIY and then it will end all the questions.

I'll put it this way, you can do it. You can use a larger throttle body but unless you have a decent intake, tuning, and/or an aftermarket intake manifold, you won't really notice or gain much of anything. You will get better results with a ported throttle body, but the RX8 is just too big for a car with bolt ons. The few who believe in this will argue it. Also, you can find a good amount of info on it if you search, just like I said earlier.

Well I hear u on that one but I have some minor mods that I think would help with the fact that I'd notice the gain Ive got a Megan header full Fuji5 cai set up torque damper and tuning coming up once i get my intercooler installed but I was just told about the rx8 tb n had to ask n try to get input it never hurts to ask.... Oh yah on that note i can put an intercooler in without boosting it yet right? Cuz I'm planning to put a custom boost setup but don't wanna have the parts just lying around yah kno...

I wouldn't put a intercooler without boost whats the point of that and your going to loose power doing that.

You can put an intercooler on, but it won't do anything but make your intake piping so long that your car will loose power from trying to breathe. Heck I don't think any of the boosted tC's are even running an RX-8 throttle body, that should tell you something.

So far i have the adapter with a meth/NOS port hole for future use. RX8 TB, and my world racing IM OTW. Just need to bolt it all up and head out to Secret Service tuning over here in houston to have her tuned. Oh yeah im going for a record (slow process cause of my funding) output on a TRD SC.
