Ok so I know this is kind of a silly thing to ask but...

Ok so I finally got my MMW header/spipe on yesterday and let me just say I love the peformance, the look, and the way the exhaust tone..very little rasp and didn't change the tone of my current set up very much which is MMW header/spipe, injen intake, and trd axleback

However, there is one thing I don't like and thats the cabin noise for me is WAY to loud..lol I know i'm going to get a lot of "just turn up the radio" but thats not the solution im looking for.

Anyone know of a way to help reduce the cabin noise a little bit? Hopefully i'll just get used to it but its a little bit louder than I really intended it to be.

Like I said..I know its a silly question but just thought i'd ask :p

Sound proof it?

XIEmperorIX 03-31-2008 05:06 PM

do you think that stuff what work? (i think its called edead or dynamat or something?) if so where it exactly should i put it? I have a friend whos dad has a 57 buick and had the same issue but he sound proofed it by putting the material underneath the car (i'm obviously assuming above the exhaust) but I don't know if we could do something like that?

It's going to be more work, but you'll want to put it on the floorboards in the car... that means pulling the seats and the carpet and sticking it to the metal. I wouldn't put it under the car as it might just fall off.

The spray on stuff might work under the car, but you would want to put it right above the exhaust system, meaning that you would have to take parts off before spraying.

well I managed to find a great sound proofing DIY on here using edead..hopefully that should work...now i just gotta find time to tear my tc apart again lol
