so i have a TRD exhaust with megan headers and its just not doing it for me is tehre any other axle backs that sound better with the megan headers??

 

I think the Magnaflow is supposed to help get rid of some of the raspyness but your best bet would be a 30" resonator in the mid pipe.

 

its not hte raspyness its mostly the gargling thats driving me up a wall.

 

So you like the raspy sound with that set up? What gurgle are you refering to? At idle? throttle lift off?

 

i have the HKS muffler with my megan header and it sounds beautiful.. i had to put 2 18" resonators though because where I'm from, the police knows when you're coming.. but I don't regret it at all, it actually sounds smoother with the resonators. but without it, it will sound harsh at first, but i guess my muffler was just breaking in.

 

Wait... you don't want to get rid of the rasp? The buzzing bee noise? ? ? ?

Ignoring what I just said, the best combo axleback with a header seems to be the Precision Muffler axleback. But adding a resonator or two probably couldn't hurt.

 

allright ill bakc up i have a 20 inch resonator allready installed so rasp iosant the problem im getting this gargling on decel and it drives me flippin crazy sounds like its wanting to bakc fire.

 

i have an injen cai with dc header megan s pipe, midpipe, and just changed my trd axleback to the megan drift spec axleback...it sounds sick i love it....reminds me very much of a wrx. i do however have a hi flow cat on the midpipe from mineke. it sounds so much better than the trd. i wanna go so far as to say i have no rasp
