Default P2121

Im throwing code P2121.... It doesnt seem to be a pretty common code to throw in pretty much any car espicially ours.

The code is accelerator pedal position sensor error. Basically I was at a light, noticed the CEL, and boom.... no accelerator response what so ever. I noticed this morning on the way to the work that partial throttle was acting a little funny, but no real issue.

According to alldata, it says to troubleshoot the APP sensor by connecting a smart tester (which I dont have) and checking the voltage coming off it back to the ECM after moving the pedal. I would do this if I had a smart tester.

Anyone come across this problem before?

I could just go and replace the sensor, but I really dont feel like wasting the $300+ if theres a cheaper and/or easier solution.

I just got this code and got the sensor 78110-12050 changed under warranty and on my way to work light came back on. What happened with your situation? I know this thread is old,but I would like to know what happened.
