Hey guys, I've pretty much decided to get this exhaust for my tC because of all the praise I hear. I was wondering how much of an angle does it stick out at?

I've searched and read that it's not too angled, and then that it is too angled. I have the OEM lip kit and don't want it to burn.

Does anyone have pics of their HKS Hi-Power installed? Please post them here.

its big and the angle is def there haha. it was my first exhaust i sold it about 6 months afterwards, then i got megan and sold that, i fell out of the angled exhaust look, and im picking up the Tanabe Concept G exhaust this week from a buddy

 

Yeah I kinda wish it was straight. I was thinking of just getting the Hi Power universal and having someone weld it on, but all the muffler shops around here can't get my car on the lift

How's the sound dave? I can't really tell from youtube vids if it's as good as people say.

 

The tip is pretty huge, I can stick my foot in it. And the angle is about as much as a Megan drift spec or close. Definitely not straight at all.

 

it sounds awesome, i prefered it over the megan (megan was way too loud, and ust looked stupid with the silencer.)

but i like the way teh tanabe sounds and looks

You guys think I can rig it to sit more straight? I don't mind it not sitting perfectly straight, but I could probably modify the hangers or something.

Maybe I'll get another evo 2.... now those suckers are HUGE.

 

i mean if you love it i would just get the universal one and get custom piping done, it will be the same thing, maybe a little cheaper and come out straight

 

Yah I want to, but I live in bumf*ck with like three muffler shops. I've been to all three and they tell me they can't get the car on the rack.

 

if they cant get the car on the lift they shouldnt be workin on cars lol!

my car is low low low and i can get it on the ALIGNMENT rack

 

Yeah it sucks dude. I still haven't gotten an alignment either cause people reject my poor tC. I'm about to just take my front bumber off I swear, then they can't tell me anything.

 

Don't you have coilovers bro? It maybe a hassle, but raise the car up, get it done, then drop it again. :D

It just sucks to get the height juuuust right then have to do it all over again.

 

mark it with a sharpie prior to raising it up, then when you get done, just lower it down to the line you marked with the sharpie again.

 

mark it, get some white out and mark where youhave it now

Anyway I think I'll just get the universal then, and save a bill.

I'd still like to see any pics though, I'm browsing the exhaust thread but I only see like three cars with it!
