so I installed an Injen short ram a couple of weeks ago and i just noticed that my car doesn't go over 3000 RPM when i'm hard on the gas..yes my car is automatic..I barely noticed this problem because i barely use the freeway to get around. so i didnt really notice during normal driving conditions.

i did reset the battery and still the same thing..I know it's not in safe mode because my car doesn't shut off when i rev it high.. does anyone know what's wrong with it?

 

so, it doesnt get past 3000 rpm? what happens, it just stops?
put the stock intake back on and see if the problem still occurs, if so, take it 2 the dealer

'safe mode' does not entail the vehicle to shut off... it entails the vehicle preventing itself from revving high (a.k.a. not above a certain rpm.. say.. like 3000?)

that CEL light on?

 

cel light is not on..no lights are on..i'm going to put my stock intake back on tonight and i'll see what happens

Did you damage the MAF sensor in the process? any wires pulled out, any damages to it? damages to that cause bad results. Take it out, take a picture, and post it. Take a look yourself, that might be the problem...
