Default PTUNING Competition Front Billet Motor Mount (w/ Pic & Pricing)

Soon to be released is the PTUNING Competition Front Billet Motor Mount
Will be available in 3 different stiffness.

The kit is almost complete. We are only waiting for the delivery of the inserts to start shipping. Hopefully within 1-2 weeks.

The PTUNING Billet Aluminum Motor Mount uses a pressed-in polyurethane insert to control the movement of the drivetrain. Limiting the motion of the drivetrain helps to reduce unwanted wheel hop during hard acceleration. Also, reducing uncessary drivetrain movement helps to greatly reduce the stress on the exhaust system and manifold. By switching out the entire front motor mount, you will not need to deal with the hassles of pressing on the stock bushing and pressing in an insert into the factory mount. Our motor mount will allow you to easily switch back to the factory mount at any time.

Urethane Insert Hardness:
75A – Street (Black Insert)
85A – Competition (Red Insert)
95A – Xtreme (Black Insert)

Price:
$137.95 (Street)
$140.95 (Competition)
$142.95 (Xtreme)

Thanks.
We wanted to stick with PTUNING colors of Black and Red.
That is why we went with black for Street and Xtreme.
Trust me, you can't mix up the two. They feel completely different.
Beauty of this setup is that you can change out the insert to your desire application at anytime. We will offer the inserts for sale separately soon.

So how difficult is it to install one of these? Also which one would you recommend for a daily driver with some track time?

You can install it in less than an hour with simple hand tools.
For your application, I would recommend the Competition version.

How do these compare with the energy suspension motor mounts? Is this more of an additional stiffer mount just for the front?

^ +1 I have been looking into motor mounts/inserts, but don't want the extra vibration all the time. If this could make a considerable difference in eliminating wheel hop, and only takes an hour to remove/install I'm definately interested.

The main difference between our front motor mount kit and the Energy Suspension inserts are:

*The PTUNING Billet Motor Mount is much easier to install than the ES inserts. The ES inserts will require you to remove and press out the old inserts, in order to install the new inserts...VERY labor intensive.

*The PTUNING motor mount give you 3 different options for insert stiffness. This will allow you to pick one that is more specific to your application.

*If you purchase the Street version and later on decided to track your car, you can simply switch out the insert to the Competition or Xtreme version.

*By reducing engine rotation, you will reduce wheel hop.

Can installing just one mount be as beneficial as having all three ES mounts installed?

^x2

i had read several people saying they mounted only the front ES mount because the back was a PITA...but that was frowned upon quickly by other members saying to install the whole set.
wouldnt installing just a front motor mount cause excess wear/tear on the other mounts that remain stock.

Our main objective in designing the PTUNING front billet motor mount replacement is:

1. To replace the most critical mount (the front).
2. For ease of installation over the inserts provided by Energy Suspension.
3. Much better alternative than an engine dampener.

Basically, if you do not want to deal with installing the ES motor mounts inserts because they are so labor intensive, the PTUNING front billet motor mount is the next best replacement. The mount is a much better alternative over the engine dampener.

We are also working on replacements for the other two mount positions (side and back).

Mike @ PTUNING

Waiting for 3rd party reviews, sounds good, but I'm skeptical that replacing one mount can be as beneficial as the es mounts.

I don't have one of these, but I DO have the Energy suspension inserts.

After installing the front I decided I was in over my head and didn't replace the other two, that was a year ago.

I've been driving on just the front mount for over 20K miles, and I've had no issues with the stock mounts failing or fatiguing. It's not for lack of trying on my part, I drive like an ___ and have done a lot of autoX with this configuration.
