Quiet Performance Mods?

Quiet Performance Mods?
i was wondering if there are any components out there that are dyno proven but don't increase the noise coming from the car? does more power always have to mean more noise? its a real question... someone (any engineers?) please tell me.
-intake, header, exhaust?
-supercharger? <-- i'm thinking this is the best bet for quiet power... what do u guys think?
i must be getting old because i don't like the car to make a lot of noise anymore. come to think of it, i've been putting a lot of money into my computer to make it Quieter also. lol
sleepers rule!

what a lame quesiton...how can????u got to give up one for the other...i didnt pull a 15.7 with a super quiet car, but i did pull a 16.3 with a quiet one so the choice is yours.

anyone else have any input?

more power does not necessarily have to translate into more "noise"
here are a few things that just came to mind when I read your post.... I have used these products and have....
NST pulleys from www.NonStopTuning.com
ACT clutch and flywheel
Front mount intercooler
Just a few examples, but they demonstrate the point. I'm sure more people will add to the list. Good luck.

There's a thread in the sponsored sales for the camcon box. I wanna hear some reviews from some people before I purchase one.

turbo with stock exhaust. all the power no noise, I don't like noise. Superchargers are noise too and you can add headers and exhaust to them so even more "noise". I'm like you and hate noise, I will run the turbo, stock CAT and exhaust too. I'll still be WAY over 200 WHP and no noise, just street fighting performance...

why put a loud trash ricer exhaust on a car that looks good had good sound system and is quick enough? I've eat cars with blahp fart blahp is the "sound of HP" under the hood? for lunch. Or that the size of the TIP indicates performance along with stickers?
I tend to let the HP under my hood along with a proper near stock height suspension and great driving skills do the talking, not the long low drown of a gutless NA exhaust system along with large tip and rear wing.

The stage 0-1 turbos from ZPI that oldman is waiting on shouldn't require any larger than stock exhaust. Of course with F/I a more free flowing exhaust will yield additional power, but it is nowhere near necessary for those kits.

right say it is 10 HP for stage 0 and 20 WHP for stage 1, so maybe I'll only be packing 230 WHP still enough to get me into the low 14's and a fighting chance with many $$$ turbo cars and look bone stock, sound bone stock.
I like the topic of this post hate noise, I built a turbo integra just because I hated the Mugen 4to1 header noise, I designed and built a LS1 Camaro with a cam and exhaust sill named after me, why would I destroy a car by making it into a noise machine? I should be able to beat 99.99% of the tC in Texas and 95% of the cars I street fight with. That is all I need. Lets be serious OK? The header, fart pipe tC ain't going to beat even grandma's Buick. IMO that ain't a performance car. A performance car got: sounds, tight near stock height suspension (not rock hard), some nice rims and about stock size tires, stock sounding exhaust, maybe some leather seats, mabye a set of light weight rims, maybe some bigger brakes, turbo of course, a few gauges. I look at a ride that is slammed into the weeds with a speed bump scrapper for an exhaust system that takes 10 minutes just to hit 25 MPH... geez...
You can tell a lot about a person by his car mods, I see a NA, fart pipe 4 banger and just gotta laugh, any car that can't beat a Buick or stock Accord, should not thought of as a performance car... well at least to me.

unfortunately, most people don't like to read long, technical articles. . . but if you want to learn about PROPER exhaust tuning that doesn't result in excessive noise, you might want to check out this article I posted here.

Unfortunately, you may not be able to sound absolutely 100% stock, but you don't have to sound like a high strung donkey either to make decent power.
