What part of the exhaust. If you're just talking about the rear part, undo the two bolts and use some soapy water to get it off the hangers, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes and wont require lifting the car.

well none of exhaust really requires the use of a lift. I did my I/H/E in a driveway

If it is the axleback? It is waaay too simple for DIY, just in case.

put some lube on the two and only bolts is the only thing you take most your time with. 30 minutes for one person and no experience is what your looking at.

Yeah just use your eyes, I swear it's really freaking easy. Wd 40 and a 14mm socket and you should be good.

an impact wrench is not needed. the bolts are not that tough.

for removal, you will need the 14mm ratchet these guys told you about. the only problem you may have is getting the rubber hangers off of the bolts. wd40 didn't do it for me. to get the rubber hangers off of the hangers will be a slight bish...to get it off in 10 secs, you can do what i did. soap or wd40 on it's own may not be enough.

1 - run some soapy water on the inside of the rubber hanger
2 - use an adjustable locking wrench (you should have one in your garage). it looks like this:
http://www.amazon.com/10-in-Adjustab.../dp/B000HAYGLM

put on end of the teeth on the end of the metal bolt, put the other end of the jaw on the back side of the rubber hanger. tighten the adjustment screw until the wrench is exactly the right size, meaning you could take your hand off and it would stay there.
Now all you need to do is pull on the handle...that will force the rubber over the large metal head.

sorry no pic:

(wrench jaw) rubber hanger --> Metal head (wrench jaw)
