Should be a cleaner crisper shift...... not tougher as to a point of discomfort. Did your S.S come with craddle/cable bushings? and if so, did you replace the stock ones with them? it will feel a little tougher seeing that you removed all the exess play, but it shouldnt be a discomfort to shift. Check and make sure everything is where it should be. Leave the surround off of it and shift back and forth to see if somethings up.

Cable bushings are actually the better mod of the two. Install them when you get a chance......you'll like the shifts alot more. If it doesnt get any better try contacting drisotope with some questions, but it'll be better.

Ohhh sorry. to answer your question theyll further tighten and smooth your shifts. The cage bushings only tighten the craddle so your shift throw is sturdy.

yeah cable bushing is so much an improvement.. i say do it, but yeah shifting will take a lil more effort but its much crisper and feels better.. but you will get used to it, i dont even notice it anymore.. i tried driving an evo mr with stock shifter and i said to my self dang this shifter sucks haha mine is better

I have cable and base bushings and it took a while to get used to it. I like it better now, but 3rd gear still bothers me for some reason.

only if nesessary. I went with TWM so they might be a little different from mine. But if it looks like its needed, it couldnt hurt. Just shift from gear to gear to make sure everythings working well before you put the intake back on.
