I'm leaning towards the B&M; on this thread it's listed with a 30% reduction but in this thread in sponsored sales:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=103624
he says it's 25%.

The B&M site is no help, its page for the tC shifter
http://www.bmracing.com/index.php?id...cat=15&pid=333
doesn't have any numbers, and you can download a PDF of their catalog but it doesn't have anything for Scion in it.

So, can anyone clear this up? Hopefully with evidence, not just "It's 30%, dude." Whether it's 25% or 30% may change my preference.

Thanks!
_Bill

I'm assuming if I'd buy a CC shifter, the TRD **** could be used??...

I've heard great things about CC and the ***** can be had on eBay for like $60 + s/h...

Also, I've read elsewhere these shifters could damage your tranny...any truth to that?

The TRD **** should be fine as the CC shifter has the same threads as the OEM shifter.

As for damage... I really doubt it. The actual interaction with your transmission doesn't change. Just the geometry and height of the shifter are changing. The linkage and such should remain the same. That I know of anyways...

I just got my CC shortshifter... I'm assuming the purple metal bushing looking things are for the base of the shift assembly?? no instructions and it's not part of the TWM DIY install... they look like bushings and I haven't taken apart my car yet so I was just wonding if anyone who has this kit knows....

If you want to use them, they are risers for the shifter housing. Some have said that it stiffens up the shifter housing and there's less play, but who knows. I didn't use them when I installed. Just one of those optional things I guess.

Just installed mine... Feels great... Kit doesn't come with instructions but you can follow the tech article on here for the TWM performance one... the only difference was that the write up is a bit older so it doesn't show the retention clips.... Lowered the **** just enough, ( I think the TWM stage 2 would have been too low) and the throws are short ans crips.. Only real was to know is to try it...

First post... I am installing B&M tomorrow (B&M box says shortens throws up to 40%).

Anyone have some good hints on how to get the first two pieces of trim off without cracking or scraping the snot out of them?

Thanks!

I'm guessing the box is generic, hence the ambiguous "up to" specification, but thanks.

Whenever I need to take apart anything in the interior, I refer to Mandos' post:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=60981

I had to take the center console out once to get change that had fallen inside and it was really easy.

Default B&M Shifter is awesome!

installed it in a few hours... took my time and there were some clips that were not covered in the posts, but other than that.... great!

Throw was shortened by almost 50% even though B&M states "up to 40%".

B&M is rock solid!
