TC Tunerz new Dynos
If you keep that stock plastic box (in the middle of intake pipe) the low end power will always be there. A drop in filter wouldnt lose any power at all. Some gains my be felt???
I dont think theres going to be an intake that will keep the low end power. All there going to do is dyno the car from 3000rpms and up. Thats what I dont really like about the TCTunerz dynos. They start from 3000rpms and go up. I want to know what the curves look like under 3000rpms.

Don't know if anyone else noticed this -
in the article, they say "The Performance header installed dyno.. 138.9hp / 129.8tq"
But if you look at the dyno graph, it says "MAX TORQUE = 138.9 MAX POWER = 129.8" So it looks like it lost a little bit of whp but gained a lot of torque

The stock dyno chart says Max torque=130 and Max power=123. However above the dyno chart they listed the numbers backwards stating it had max power of 130 and max torque of 123.
So in reality it gained almost 7hp and 9 torque.

"Hmm, for a header with a cat in it (assuming that it will be legal becuase of that,) that's actually a decent performance bump."
It is against EPA and CARB rules to remove or replace a factory installed catalytic converter while the vehicle still has a factory exhaust warranty. If the original factory cat needs to be replaced due to damage or failure, it must be replaced with an OEM part.
Of course, if the aftermarket part in question passes the CARB certification process and is issued an EO Number from CARB, then you can legally install the part. Just because it has a cat does not make it street legal. Keep this in mind.

Those gains are great for a carb legal header. Well Im sure the header needs some test. Ohh, if some of you are wondering the header is made by Megan Racing.

Megan is a really good company.
Ill take any japanese performance parts over america. They are more reliable, trusted, and make great quality. they are also more expensive too.
too bad there isnt any japanese performance parts available now for the tC. (if there is post it here please)
as for the tctunerz new header, im pretty sure its not gonna out perform the DC header. with that converter in the way its not gonna be as loud without it.
Ima wait 2 weeks and see if anything new and improvement is going on. if theres nothing, ill take the tctunerz header. i hate that CEL light.
