Ticking in my Engine Bay 1.5K-2K RPM only
So.... the infamous TICK of death has come to haunt me. It's winter here with lots of snow and as I was ripping through some ice piles last week I started to notice a tick from under my hood. It's a quick ti-ti-ti-ti that goes in time with some kind of obviously moving motorized part. It is only audible when I am accelerating around 1.5-2K RPM not when I am idle and not when I am at a higher RPM. If I am slower from 2.5 to 1.5K RPM it also makes the sound (so not just acceling) I am going to have my wrench buddy who works at Subaru take a look at it but just wanted to get any preliminary ideas of what we should expect to find if anyone here has Insight. Thanks in advance SL.

Oh and nothing is performance modded either besides INJEN CAI and Exhaust.

Further investigation the tick seems to be only when I have the acceleration pedal very slightly pressed. Like when you just start to actually increase RPM's and the pedal is 10% pressed down, the ticking is always there. Once you go anywhere past 10% and actually start accelerating it goes away. Comes back as you decelerate past that same 10% point. Hmm
