Default Unichip now available for the 2007 and 2008 scion tc

Hey guys I just got my Unichip installed for my 08 TC and love it! I noticed a very good torque gain in 2nd and 3rd gear along with overall better accleration and performance.

Hey guys, just go to unichip.com and give them a call. They don't have the chip listed for the 07-09 yet on there website, but they do have them!

I have a CAI, header, exhaust and many other mods on my car. It basically helps enchance these mods power and helps fuel economy, when your foot is not on the floor that is, haha.

Can the unichip advance timing? Thats where most of the potential for an n/a setup seems to lie...

From what I can see on their site, it appears the price hover around $700. Uh, unless we're getting 14+whp I just don't think it's worth it.

It is around 500 dollars, but call unichip to make sure, I got mine for free because they are sponsoring me. As for the dyno, I will ask Marnius at unichip to put a dyno on the website. Yes it can advance engine timing and can do many other things as well.

Well let's try and narrow down this hp gain. Does it feel like more than when you installed your intake? More than your exhaust? Maybe more than both combined?

Inquiring minds wan to know!

i would never put out the cash for unichip. back in 04 when i had my matrix xrs people were raving about it, but once dyno's started being posted there was not much gain or not enough to be worth the kind of money they want.

The Unichip helps gives you more power out of your mods that you have put on your car and helps give you power out of a just plain stock motor, but it may not be as much. It is a tuning tool, like the Aem FIC, that unichip can pre program to fit your specfic bolt ons so you can just plug it in and go or if you want you can take it to a tuner. Horse power and torque gains will vary, but I am telling you that with my bolt-ons I notice a nice gain in torque and overall performance throughout the gears.

Think our buddy up here took his car down to have it used for the 08-09 testing.....not sure if he went down or not though, but the one for the earlier years gave gains on dyno.It works by tuning what you have on the car and making it work better with a tune,at least that is my understanding.
