Unichip has some dyno results up on their website. Just click on the picture of the tc to get more info. Not too impressed with the dyno results.

im glad someone said it! finally!

there is NO point in buying this thing, when there are better piggybacks out there, such as the FIC and Emanage. They are easily tuned and there are plenty more tuners out there.

Some good things that the unichip have that most of the others engine management chips don't have is a switch to change maps and a plug and play harness that comes with it, most of the other chips you have to buy this harness seperate and you need a laptop to change maps.

This engine management work great for me because I have nitrous so it is easy to change maps. Another thing that is great about unichip is that they can send it to you with a preprogram map to fit your bolt ons. Anyway AEM and Greddy are good engine managements, but before you knock Unichip check it out a little more closely, it has a lot of great features.

thanks

Hey Guys I just talked to Marinus over at Unichip and they are offering the chip/engine management system for $495 plus 10% off with the coupon code SWEETDEAL, so you save about $50! Anyway the chip is great and in my opinion it has a lot more and better features then some of the other engine management system and it cost less, not to mention it comes with a warranty.

Check out my Nitrous setup with the UNICHIP as my enigine management:

The dyno graphs should be up on there website shortly, but remeber this is not only a chip but a engine management system like the AEM FIC so it really is a great deal for the money.

Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions

Sounds good, if you or the Unichip rep could post here when the graphs are available, that would be great. Depending on the results, I would be interested in picking one of these up.

I will tell Marinus to try to get the dyno up ASAP, I will tell you from my experience that it helped the mid range torque out and just made the over all performance of my car better for daily driving.

Thanks

Hey the dyno for the unichip is up on there website now, but you have to double click on the dyno to bring up the PDF of the actual one for the tC.

Thanks

Yeah they're up now. Not too bad, I'll look into this more as soon as I free up some cash. Thanks for the update.

Yea I was going to say that is very high for just an intake and a cat-back exhaust.

Here it is straight copy from their pdf file.

If you read the bottom of the screen it says it was ran in 3rd gear, which is odd since Tc's should be dyno'd at 4th gear since 3rd gear is still multiplying torque and hp output.

Also the graph cuts off way early, and the mods+unichip actually hinder the high end power.

El oh el

You have to remember that there are a lot of factors that will effect horsepower and torque, such as the octane of gas and climate. Different tunes will also get different results in hp and torque. the dyno on my car for hp and torque with the unichip, CAI and exhaust was 173hp and 176 torque, one reason this maybe lower is because I am only using 91 to 92 octane and there is a lot of humidity in Iowa. Also I had my car tune for the best possible gas mileage because I drive it to work everyday also.

Just saying that though you may think unichip dyno is BS it is not that hard to believe when you look at all the factors.

thanks

No offense but until you unichip guys can come up with something real to prove your product you just look like another salesman making promises that he/she cant even verify are real.
