Right now I have the Evo2 by greddy but want to change it up just because.

I want something that sounds great with a low rumble like TRD or Borla. What exhaust adds the most?

Yea I'm getting the ARK dt-s catback + high flow cat. It's the only catback that sounds good with header because you retain the cat and their resonator does an awesome job.

 

I would recommend the Megan Catback exhaust. It looks very similar to the OEM exhaust but has a sound that is similar to the TRD or Borla setup. And for a full catback, you pay a little more but you also get a little more:

They also have videos on YouTube. Type in the name of the exhaust you are considering, and you should get some results. Even though the videos dont do justice of how the exhaust really sounds, it gives you a good idea of how each ones sound. I have included a link for Megan and TRD.

yea I have been gettin the feelin that TRD exhausts are horrible but I have heard two tC's with them on the highway and they sound awesome

 

TRD sounds nice but that is all, I bought it last year w/o doing research. Now I want to get Skunk 2. Don't get the TRD unless you are looking for just sound and still want OEM style exhaust. I've never heard the Megan Racing it that seems pretty nice

 

Tanabe Concept G has a nice deep sound, but do they make a axle back?

i hate the ricer mufflers.. canister style.. it just looks like ****! id rather have a stock muffler setup where you cant see all the ghetto chrome canister... but that is me.. im in the market now, but no one has a sound clip of the tru-bends magnaflow from ebay for 230 shipped..

I too absolutely HATE the big and loud fart cans that all of the RICERS have. I dont care if you spent two grand on the damn exhaust.

If you put on a $50 dollar pink dress or a $500 pink dress ... its still a facking pink dress.

If I were to get ANYTHING but my TRD axle-back it would be the P-Tuning exhaust.

 

I love my concept g and it has a really deep sound and doesn't sound...or look ricer at all

Don't get the trd, it doesn't make any sound at all, just a little louder than stock and you can do so much better for the money.

Anyways, the TRD does not sound stock ... or anywhere NEAR stock. It is actually quite nice on my 08. When I get on it sounds great, and on the highway it is a nice low humm.

 

i have a borla catback exhaust on my tc, just because i wanted a somewhat factory appearance, and something with a growly tone. paired with the injen intake, its definately done what i was looking for. but the other options are good too, just a matter of preference really.

 

thats teh problem, everyone loves what THEY have, and everyone is different.. so unless you hear/drive them for a while, ya never realy know..

 

Thats not true, I wish that I would have done with the ARK N2, I am going to be selling my TRD probably once I get my supercharger installed in May.

PTuning is tempting as well.

 

if your going the supercharger route get the ptuning 3 inch exhaust after you get it installed. Will give you 5 to 10 more hp i think over a 2.5 inch exhaust ... especially if you get a higher psi pulley

 

ok dont get megan products poor quality in my book. But if you want an axle back go with the precision muffler one or the greddy ti-c. but for a cat-back go with the skunk2 or maybe the agency but i think it hangs to low and i dotn want to lose my muffler with the crappy roads in washington.
