** Update**BOV on a S/Ced tC.... NO GOOD!!!
 

Alright everyone, I just got off the phone with Kenny form ZPI and he said I should GAIN power from the BOV cuz the BPV leaks boost all the time, no matter what one you have. So as long as a plug the hose for the recirculation I will be good. So BOV's are in and BPV's are out. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask or even call Kenny at ZPI and he'll give you a bit more info in detail.

Alright we got it in and it sounds freaking awesome. I have a vid, but has very poor quality sound. I made like 4 of them but none came out good. So I will try again later but hopefully you can tell from the vid.

oh yea, we set it up so the BOV connected to where the BPV came out from the hose from the throttle body, then connectd the top to the vac line, but left the recirculation that goes back into the supercharger open. have to call zpi and see what they think of this. had a litle bit of idle problems at first but fixed it by tightening the BOV. Its a fake type H RFL BOV, but it works. Just have to figure out what to do with that recirculation hose that goes back into the s/c.

as far as the powerloss, i cant really tell u cuz i havent got the reflash yet, cuz Checkered Flag Toyota here hasnt got what they needed in yet, so i'm running slow then fast and back and forth. Damn dealership!

he doesnt need better sound bits ...thats exactly what it should sound like. ....and I do agree... I like it ....I like it a lot. BUT --- is this a good setup for our engine? ....because this setup is changing the amount of air will the sensor be ok or will it not be reading the right numbers? ...I know this is an issue w/ turbos and bov's should only be used on large boost applications (that is what i have read). can someone comment on what I just said?

my friends were saying i should just plug the hole on the hose that was used to recirculate air back into the s/c. or i could go with a dual BOV, its a BOV that looks like the Bosch 110 Sport but has a spot where it has a horn shape where it blows off. I'm really looking into these, cuz they recirculate the air back into the supercharger and blows off. Friends were saying that recircualtion is more of an econmical thing, and shouldn't cause any problems. I drove around for a good 30mins on it and no CEL, and no problems. My car feels slow, but its felt like that for the passed few days cuz i havent got the reflash yet, so i think its jumping from lean to rich and back and forth.

i want to know more about it. I had a Supra pull up next to me and the wife and kept giving it some and the BOV sounded awesome. He kept slowing down and just taking off and reving next to me.

I dont know why he would even bother with a tC. Wasnt even worth the gas for the embarassment he would give me. The supra was nice.

as soon as i get the reflash done and plug the whole for the recirculation hose, i will let u know how it feels. I'm giving ZPI a call tomorrow to ask them what they think. They were closed today unfortunately, but i will let yall know what they think after i talk to them.

please do - I would like to hear what they say also because nobody really has talked about using a bov. .....just the bpv.

sound is awesome. I hate how turbos dump out real hard but this is more on the lines of a nice release. Im wondering what zpi is going to say because ive heard a few peoples views that I know .... so i wanna hear stuff from people who deff will have their own view.

i know its posted somewhere but i just want to make sure, both inlet and outlet is 25mm/1" ?

tikbhoy, I dont know the size, but when I did my BPV I kow they are the same size for inlet outlet....whatever that size is I have no clue.

hmm...if the idle isnt bad and the power is equal or the same. I am going to do this. I love the sound. As long as there are no negative side affects.
