Default 07 engine to 06 engine...

So i have a burnt/broken ring in Cyl #4 on my 07 tC due to boost but im back to N/a. MY buddy steve (DeAnzaJig) found me a 06 engine for dirt cheap that he's gonna put new oem pistons and rods and ARP head studs and clean it up and put an 06' head on it with cams from an 07 (better lift than 05-06). MY question is will i still have piston oil squirters in the 06 block with the OEM pistons and rods that he will be puttin in there that are new for a 2nd gen block, or is that something that was designed in the 07-10 (2nd gen block). Will it function as if it was a 2nd gen block? How will it function with my ECU? Keep in mind my tC is an 07. Will i have any problems with the block when i put it into my car? will i still have the 6.8k redline and 9:8 compression?

ANy feedback would be appreciated TIA.

On another note, thinkin about pickin up a ZPI kit pretty soon cuz i miss boost lol, if i get a blow through set up fabbed up for the kit would it make it run smoother opposed to the draw through set up? Also does the Deozd intercooler and piping fit with the ZPI kit?

I can't answer the oil squirters as I'm pretty sure those ar block related

What I can say is you can use an 06 in a 07 the ecu will control it just fine

You will have the same redline you had with the 07motor as that is controlled by ecu no motor

And if you use 07 pistons yes you will retain a 9:8:1

06 and under did not have oil squirters or any provisions for them (that im aware of). Iv rebuilt one 06 block and didnt notice any oilpassages for oil squirters.

05-10 engines will all swap with each other and run just fine.
