07tctul build (update pg.5)
Ok so i figured I would start a thread since I am getting really anxious about putting my new kit on. I bought a used Dezod S1 kit from a member here. It came with the innovate dezod spec turbo 550cc injectors, aem fic, intercooler/pipe, etc
The car is a 07 with 66,000 miles on it. I did a compression test and results were 170 175 170 175. I know 180 is preferred but that is not too far off right?
Now the only thing I am waiting for is a downpipe that dezod said they can make for me to make the kit an external wg, aem tru boost, wideband, and oil pressure gauges that are in the mail and im gunna set up an appointment with ptuning to get tuned.

considering how close each cyl pressure is i would think your gonna be ok. the lower numbers is prolly due to testing procedure and engine temp. I do 5 cranks first and mark down the results for each cyl, then i do 10 cranks and compair (all on a warm engine). Iv done it with peddle pressed and ther has been absolutly no diff between peddle to the floor or not.
was the car at operating temp during testing? also what gauge did you use?

hmmm...considering the mileage and testing done at operating temp it should have read fairly close to 180. not sure if elevation may be a factor in this. your still not far off the mark though. its prolly the gauge...if i were you id breath easy, comp sounds pretty strong. Iv viewed cracked ring landings and fubar rings at around 140-160psi (no matter how many cranks done). Iv done a comp test on a freshly built 2az engine using wiseco pistons that read exactly like yours.

little update i just picked up a hks bov and bought a tapped oil pan from ptuning...the other question i had was when i put the kit on i was going to get it towed to ptuing but its going to cost about $250 just for the tow...but the fic still has the tune on it from the previous owner. The ride to ptuning from my house is about 190 miles if i stay out of boost would it be ok to drive the car there? It just seems kinda sketchy to me...
if it has a base map it should be "alright". but its still a little risky. i drove on a basemap on my first build for 3 months, and boosted, no problem. if your skeptical about the tune, just buy a basemap from one of the kits. there $50 i believe.
you can use the tune thats on the fic prolly. afr's should be close to 14.7 in closed loop (easy driving i might add). if its running hella rich 10 afr or lean 17 afr then I wouldnt do it. in this case i would unplug the fic and run streight ecu (absolutly no boost). this can be done on 550cc injectors.
btw bring a spare set of sparkplugs for tuning, they can get fouled during the process.

So i think i have everything ordered that i need...does anyone know where i can get an extra O2 sensor for the dp? I remember getting one from the dealer a while back when i had dc headers, but i remember paying a good bit for it
already got my downpipe from dezod...i just placed the order monday! I also got 2 sets of 1 stage colder plugs, and i gaped them to .030(which i think is right). So now the only thing i have to do is figure out where to mount my gauges, because the kit i bought came with an a piller pod but i have side airbags, so im either just gunna put them on a say screw it and put it over top or try and find another place to mount them.
so i got all the wires to hook up the gauges. The only thing i have a question about in the oil pressure. It was supposed to come with a brass fitting but i didnt get it. If i buy the greddy pressure sensor do i need that brass fitting?
