6-speed tC1 swap kit
DESCENDANT / WORLD Racing Scion 6-speed tC1 swap kit will be designed for 2005-2010 Scion tC1 owners that wish to convert there current 5 speed tC1's to a 6 speed using the new tC2 transmission.
The DESCENDANT / WORLD Racing 6-speed tC1 swap kit is in it's 1st stage of development but we expect to have it driving / testing with in the next couple weeks. I can currently tell you it will include a custom fly-wheel & motor mount which we are currently machining for installation. Once I have more details I will post them here for everyone to know...for now enjoy some pictures of the 2AZFE Scion tC1 engine with a tC2 6 Speed Gear box bolted up too it!
Oh yeah...and a special one. Drag, Spy, AWD TA & the FWD TA Scion tC's with the new 6 speed swap dead center!

specfreakintacular to the 69th power!
so cool that the 6speed bolts right up to the 2az. I assume the starter either sits higher from center or lower from center than the 5speed? does the 6speed use the same reverse sensor as the 5speed? are the clutch disks and pressure plates interchangable?
You got me drooling Rob...(no homo)

Before or right when the 2nd gen was getting released there was a thread about this swap and what it would mean if it could be done. Someone posted the gear ratios for the 2nd gen tranny. If I remember correctly 6th gear is a power gear. For those concerned about revs and mpg on the highway, I THINK (not sure until someone either pulls up that old thread or finds the gear ratios again) you're still going to be in the power band while cruising on the highway just probably not as much.
To me this is worth a shot as the 1st gen badly needs one more shift, even if its not an overdrive gear. Props to Descendant for jumping on this first, its a great idea.
I think Scion had a feeling too, considering its almost a direct bolt-up.
