We tapped into the FIC ignition and this setup didnt work.

 

Anyone have experience with loud BACKFIRES? while running FIC w/ auto ecu?

Seems like if i let the car sit for a few days then try and turn it on, everytime key hits "ON" position the car POPS and i see smoke in engine bay, and the hose that goes on the intake mani pops off.

 

I know this is old, but is this only needed for the auto trans does the manual trans tc need it also?

 

I have a manual and have no issues with my fic.
