Blitz turbo timer installed!
I just finished installing a Blitz DC IV DTT, turbo timer. It's a nice move towards maintaining a healthy turbo. This one also comes with a digital boost gauge with peak boost and warning.
Anyway, I did a search earlier and found nothing on the tc as far as installing a turbo timer and I'm just throwing this out there: Make sure you tap into both Ignition wires or else the car won't stay on after the key is removed. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward. Anyone with questions feel free to ask... |
Pics of wiring?
|
Yeah, I can get some up but i have to photoshop them first so you can clearly see which wires are which. There are a ton of spliced wires down there!
I'll post the pics tomorrow |
Thanks. :D

Yeah I just ordered my TT today so this will help me out alot.
|
Congrats on getting it in...
|
okay, so I should have made this a full install thread cause i'm having tons of questions. I'll go over the stuff again tomorrow and post some pics for everyone.
till then, keep sending those questions... |
not to be an idiot. but what does a turbo timer do exactly??
|
|
so essentially it just lets the car idle longer
wikipedia rocks...thanks zer0 |
don't ever feel like an idiot especially in forums. That's what these things were designed for, people to communicate to each other about similar endevours and interest and to share experiences.
definitely read the article from the link but simply put, it is a device that allows you to properly cool down your turbo by keeping it running after you have taken the key out of the ignition and have left the vehicle. There are tons of different types and most are adjustable. |
my tt coming tomorrow would be great to get a heads up 'hint hint' :P :lalala:

Heres a link to a write up I did for a 350Z install. Not 100% the same but gives you an idea what to expect:
