Default Boost Controller information

So I know I need one of these...soonish

I have tried searching around the internet for reviews on the different boost controllers, but haven't really found any solid pros/cons for any of them.

Please, if you use one of these post on here what it is and what the pros/cons are.

Manual boost controller is stupid simple to hook up. Turbosmart makes a decent one at a decent price. They're all about the same but it's important to get one you can trust.

I use a greddy profec b spec II. It is an expensive boost controller but it has a low and high boost setting. Also it has a warning for over boosting and controls how the wastegate opens.

I personally run an electronic Greddy profec B-spec II boost controler.
Pros
1.)Unlike a manual boost controller, the wastegate will see no pressure till its time to activate. This means the wastegate will stay fully closed till i hit my desired boost level wich means faster spool up and less lag.
2.)Has a warning function for overboost and will lower boost till your back to your desired boost level.
3.)Saves two different settings for your high and low boost with just a hit of a button.
4.)Has a digital screen that shows your current boost level. Basically it eliminates the need for a boost gauge.
5.)Recalls the highest boost pressure your engine has seen
Cons
Pretty damn expensive

$250 is not bad considering what I have already dropped. I still have a little while to figure this one out. I appreciate the posts so far!

If it deals with controlling boost at safe levels or providing it in a safe way, pay the price for premium and reliable products (turbos, WG's, and MBC's).

the profec b is the way to go....or the blitz dual solenoid one....but the blitz is hella expensive.

the profec also allows you to control how hard and when boost comes in. you can adjust 2 diff gain settings...in other words...boost come in late and hard and you dont spin off the line.

I am more of a fan of a great manual boost controller than an electronic one because I like simplicity. Keeps things reliable.

However if you are looking for a good electronic one that doesn't break the bank I like the AEM tru boost gauge.

http://www.dezod.com/pd_aem_truboost.cfm

Boost gauge and controller all in one.

Other than that I prefer a good manual like said before. I like this one as it has proven to be trust worthy.

I like the concept/functionality of truboost.. boost gauge and controller, eliminates extra wiring and setups.. but as a boost controller itself, its mediocre at best in my opinion.. it doesn't keep boost dead consistent but when setup well can be close.

so im thinking of changing my boost controller.. and saw this,

http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Des...niversal%20Fit

anyone with experience with this?

always been a fan of gauge type EBC so i can mount it on my pod and use it as a boost gauge as well. truboost did a decent job for me but im switching my to innovate wideband so might as well switch my other gauges that matches the blue LEDs of my wideband

Anybody running the A'PEXi AVC-R II EBC?

http://www.dezod.com/pd_apexi_avcr_ii.cfm

Expensive and maybe excessive, but it looks like it has some pretty trick functions when you figure out how to program it like boost by gear for example.
