hey guys, i got done rebuilding my engine, it cranks but it wont start over, its back firing from time to time, i check my timing all the are in place,check comp.. reads 125, but when you put oil in it reads 135 and goes higher when you put few more drops in,goes up by 10 psi about, i did a leak down test also and its hold pressure,i check the ohms, on the camshaft sensor, there is great spark, and fuel, the rebuilt mods i did was bc stage fi 2 cams, bc 1mm oversize valves, bc spring kit,world racing intake mani,k1 rods, lower comp. wiseco 88.5 mm end ring gaps at 1st ring .017 2nd ring .022 and the 3 rings is set to .011 i think.. the dow pin on the camshaft has a bigger air gap in it, also im running on gredddy eman ult. wasnt tune for bc fi cams stage 2 was wondering if that could be it or the air gap where the dow pin meets the cam sensor... thanx!

Ur bc cams are not reading on the cam sensor!

take a picture with the valve cover off of the car in time.....mine and two other guys cars were doing this and our exhaust cam timing was off.....theres three marks on the gear, a line, dot, and an e.....which one did you line it up on?

car will still start on stock ecu and eultimate. As car isn't getting cam signal but will default and start. Do check timing. I would still fix the cam sensor. I grinder the base of the sensor down. Took 3 MIns

i set the crank pulley to 0 with tdc on compress.. side then check the dots and its line up to both intake and exhaust arrow..ok should i grind down the cam sensor down or just push the intake dow pins out more?? thanx

Yea if i remember right the exhaust cam needs to be lined up to the mark with no letter on it. I had a shop do a motor assy for me and they got this wrong - they line dit up to the E dot - i didnt catch it until the motor was in the car and it was a _____ to fix with the motor in

the intake is line up with the dot and arrow and the exhaust is line up to a line.. and the crank is set to zero

That only effects standalone as the stock ecu will start the car without the cam sensor.

I'd look into your cam timing sounds like your exhaust cam is off

hey guys thanx every1 for the help i got it started my crank timming plate was put on backward... hehe.. i got it running yestday...the other thing im wondering now with all the new mods and rebuild i have done can i drive it? im still on running the trd sc with 14psi instead of 12psi the eman. was tuned for 12psi with rippmods cams..intake and exhaust..

so hwo does it idle with those cam and emanage ultimate and no tune for the cams ?

i also have BC stage 2 FI cams, but my shop did not start the car yet... as we are awaiting new turbo.

the idle is rough.. and on the aem wide band it reads 18.. or higher when drivin around 50mph its about 14.5-15.9 deff.. needs a tune.. also im on 14psi on the sc with world racing intake mani..

also as of right now the bc stage 2 fi cams dont sound too lobely on idle.. as i thought it would from others.. or may i didnt realize it yet..but i wish i did went turbo,instead of the sc back then.. hahaha...
