Default Cold start issue

Alright so I boosted my tc. At first I was running the AEM FIC and had a cold start issue ( took several seconds to start ) but the drivability was fine. Well I got tired of the cold start issue, so I bought the AEM V1 because I was told it would fix my problem. Installed the V1 and still had the issue, it actually got a little worse. What can I do to fix this?

So you have an AEM standalone now? If you are having startup issues, it's probably tuning related. Other than that, it might just be a fact of life with a standalone. A little research on the web shows this is fairly common.

Curious about having those cold starting issues with the AEM FIC. I rarely have any issues with that, even in below freezing temperatures. Again, this is probably tuning related, and more of an issue with large injectors. I'm only running 550cc, so that might be why mine seems okay.

I also am running 550cc injectors. My car starts after turning over for 3 to 4 seconds, and I have to keep giving it gas or until it's warmed up or it'll die. My tuning guy says that when he tries to adjust the warm up on the aem v1 no matter what he does, nothing seems to make a difference.

Yea, that shouldn't happen. Either something is up with the tune, the wiring, or the unit itself. Is he AEM EMS/Infinity certified?

He says he does AEM all the time. I live in Missouri, do you know of anyone that specializes in AEM products?

Not in your state. Check AEMs website for a listing of certified tuners. Hopefully there's one not too far away.

What are you using for the O2 sensor, stock or aftermarket? It almost sounds like it's not getting a good read and throwing off your A/F ratios until the sensor warms up.

It's located about 1 1/2ft off my manifold on my exhaust, And I believe it might be aftermarket.

Sounds like a tuning problem.
When i first got my fic i had problems starting up the car.
Then after removing the resistors and doing some tuning it starts just like factory.

And chance you have a screen shot of your map?

Haven't tried removing the resistors yet, but I'll give it a shot. And I don't have a picture of my map right now I'll try and get one.
